Christmas or a Speeding Train?
There are two weeks left until Christmas. Really?? One of the problems with being an East Coaster living in California is that you miss those seasonal queues that let you know what time of year it really is. 2010 truly has been a blur, and it looks like it’s going to go out in one as well. We haven’t even put up our tree yet but do plan on remedying that tomorrow.
I’ve had so many gifts in mind that I knew, logically, I would not have time to knit. However, I have managed a few, and it is presently just a matter of sewing on buttons, weaving in ends, packing up, and shipping out. Living in CA, of course, also means that 75% of our gifts have to go through the post office to get to their destinations, as most of our family are on the other side of the country (i.e. the civilized side - hehe). Thankfully, knits travel well and fairly cheap. Dear friend Amazon will be taking care of all non-yarny types.
So, since most of my recent FO’s are for Christmas gifts, they will just have to wait for posting until after the holidays. (I really hate spoilers… Don’t even get me started on online movie “reviews.”) In the meantime, here is an image of some of my favorite yarns in the gorgeous Offhand Designs knitting bag that found me at last year’s Stitches West.* Two of the skeins I spun myself; the rest are Three Irish Girls.
